1. First things first − Safety is important
As corona is spread from one human being to another, it is important to protect yourself from Corona to break the chain. Which is why you need to cover yourself properly while going outside. Don't forget to wear masks, gloves and shoes if you are dealing with collecting waste in your house or locality.
2. Stop. Don't touch
This is the mantra we all need to follow for prevention against coronavirus. When you touch your face, mouth, eyes or nose, you risk spreading the virus from your hands to your insides (read lungs). So, try and avoid touching your face as much as possible.
3. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
There is nothing like some good, old handwashing with soap and water for prevention of coronavirus infection. Wash for at least 20 seconds (or sing to yourself your favourite song, if you cannot count) at regular intervals in a day, especially when you come home from outside.
4. Cough/Sneeze the Right Way
While coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue. If you do not have a tissue, use the nook of your elbow. When you are done, dispose the tissue in a dustbin with closed lid.
5. Dispose the Right Way
While throwing all used tissues (or disposable masks) away, keep in mind to separate these from your regular waste. You can use black plastic bags to collect your waste tissues and used masks. This will help the sanitation workers in collecting the waste more efficiently.
Once you are finished, wash your hands with soap and water. For 20 seconds. And sanitize. Regularly.
Keep this list of coronavirus prevention tips handy to make sure you, your family and loved ones are out of harm?s ways. Only by staying mindful, we can defeat this pandemic together.
